From Lisboa airport to Coimbra by car approx 3 hours & by train approx 2 hours

  • To get to Coimbra from Lisboa you firstly need to get to the Oriente train station, from here you
    can then catch a train.   
  • The easiest way to get to the Oriente station is by taxi
  • Take a taxi from Lisboa airport to the 'Oriente' train station
  • The trip should take around 10 minutes and the fare should cost approximately € 10
  • Trains to Coimbra B are frequent and the trip takes about 2h10m

From Oporto airport to Coimbra by car approx  1.5 hours & by train approx  2.5 hours

  • To get to Coimbra by train from Oporto you firstly need to get to the main train station of
    Campanha, from here you can then catch the train to Coimbra.
  • To do this you can either catch a taxi from outside the airport and the fare will cost approximately
€ 25 and will take 25 minutes.
  • OR take the Metro, which will cost € 1.85 and take approximately 35 minutes.
  • The journey from Campanha train station to Coimbra takes approximately 1 hour and details of
    train times can be found on the link at the bottom of this page
